Summit on Environmental Hazards and Health Effects

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Environmental Health, Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects (EHHE), will organize its first-ever Summit on Environmental Hazards and Health Effects on January 26-29, 2016, in Atlanta (USA)[1]

The overall purposes of the Summit are:

  • To provide a forum for CDC partners and grantees to interact face to face with environmental health colleagues from across the country. 
  • To promote future collaborations on environmental public health priorities and discuss ways to improve environmental public health nationally and internationally

In particular it aims at creating the conditions to collaborate, act, investigate, disseminate and evaluate. [2]

INPHET will actively take part the Summit with oral and poster presentations in several sessions and round tables in the following topics:

  • INPHET introduction
  • Carbon Monoxide
  • Training on environmental public health disasters.
  • Interventions in the Built Environment for Prevention of Chronic Diseases.
  • Lead

A particular emphasis on INPHET will be given throughout the plenary session on January 28th (se encl). The overall Summit draft agenda is attached.
