Atlanta 2016 Summit on Environmental Hazards and Health Effects

In January 2016, the CDC, National Center for Environmental Health, Division of Environmental Hazard and Health effects will have an environmental health Summit which will serve as an opportunity for partners involved with the Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects’ (DEHHE) programs and projects to share and highlight program successes, reflect on lessons learned along the way, discuss the future and next steps (see encl). The summit will bring an opportunity for  partners to discuss ways to improve environmental public health nationally and internationally especially that it will cover  broad range of topics including epidemiology of extreme events, climate change and public health, chemicals in water supplies, lead surveillance, and Environmental public health tracking methods. The INPHET scientific committee encourage you to take the opportunity to submit an individual or joined abstracts on your work to this summit. This is an opportunity to start a wide range of  discussions which will boost interest in INPHET, and increase the opportunity for international collaborations among public health institutes on specific environmental health topics.
